Maryland LCV Thanks Paul Pinsky, MEA Director and Former State Lawmaker, for His Decades of Service as a Steadfast Environmental Champion
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Maryland LCV Executive Director Kim Coble issued the following statement about Paul Pinsky’s planned departure from the Maryland Energy Administration after years of service in state government, including in the House of Delegates and State Senate.
“Maryland LCV has long known Paul Pinsky as a steadfast environmental champion. He was a key architect of climate bills and fought alongside us and other environmental advocates in the trenches for decades. Nearly every significant environmental bill for a generation bore his fingerprints – including the Clean Energy Jobs Act, the Climate Solutions Now Act, the Healthy Air Act, and many others.
“When Paul transitioned to the governor’s administration, he deployed the same focus and dedication that have come to define him. He is accessible, smart, hardworking, and really listens.
“All of us are living healthier, cleaner, better lives, because of Paul Pinsky’s work. We’ll miss him and are grateful to him for years of service.”
Then-Senator Paul Pinsky was the inaugural recipient of Maryland LCV’s Legislator of the Year in 2012 and was recognized as a “Green Champion” in 2017, as one of a handful of legislators with superlative leadership on environmental legislation and lifetime scores above 95%.
