Maryland LCV Recognizes Speaker Adrienne Jones, a Tireless Champion for Progress
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 5, 2025) – Maryland LCV Executive Director Kim Coble issued the following statement about Speaker Adrienne Jones’ resignation from leadership of the Maryland House of Delegates.
“Speaker Adrienne Jones began her tenure leading the House of Delegates as a unifier, but her legacy in the years that followed is that of a tireless champion for progress. Time and again under her leadership, the House has served as a source of forward-looking legislation, seeking a scope and pace that match the urgency of Maryland’s needs. From the Climate Solutions Now Act to the Forest Conservation Act, millions of Marylanders today and many more in the generations to come will breath cleaner air, drink cleaner water, lead healthier lives, and cherish the immense natural resources Maryland’s managed to preserve because of policies her leadership led to. Thank you, Speaker Jones, for being a friend to the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, a friend to climate advocates across the state, and a friend to the many Marylanders who looked to you for a steady hand and compassion as we tackled the most trying issues of our time.”
