Immediate Release: May 17, 2018
(Annapolis, MD) Today the Maryland League of Conservation Voters (Maryland LCV) released its sixth round of endorsed candidates for the Maryland General Assembly and statewide offices in the 2018 state primary elections. The organization said the two Senate candidates and thirteen House candidates are ready to lead their communities with the environment as a central issue to their campaign.
“The primary is 41 days away and these strong conservation leaders are emerging to be strong advocates in their communities and for the environment,” said Karla Raettig, Executive Director of Maryland LCV. “The constant federal slashing of environmental protections has prompted these candidates to stand up to protect Marylanders and voters are ready for their leadership.”
“These candidates are ready to lead in the General Assembly with our environmental values at the forefront. They bring energy and commitment to the environment with a clear vision to protect our air, land, water, and public health.” Ed Hatcher, Board Chair of Maryland LCV.
