The Maryland General Assembly is heading into the home stretch of its 2026 session, with just a week remaining until Sine Die. SB 841 and HB 1532, the Utility RELIEF Act, have the potential to make a major impact on the environment and your energy bills. In addition, the Transportation and Climate Alignment Act (HB 437/SB 49) is a priority bill of Maryland LCV and has passed the House of Delegates. It could potentially be voted on in the Senate this week. Maryland LCV released a statement yesterday on the Utility RELIEF ACT, which you can read HERE and Take Action on HERE. ***Stay tuned to Maryland LCV’s emails and social channels for the latest on these bills*** |
