In honor of Kim Coble’s upcoming retirement and in recognition of her 30+ year career in environmental advocacy, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters and Maryland League of Conservation Voters Education Fund have created the Kim Coble Environmental Advocacy Fund.

Kim’s lifelong work has had a profound impact on the health of Maryland’s natural resources, including the Chesapeake Bay. Her dedicated leadership has strengthened and expanded Maryland LCV / Maryland LCV Education Fund into a statewide leader in community grassroots advocacy and direct lobbying to protect Maryland’s environment.

Maryland LCV will continue Kim’s legacy of leadership by establishing a dedicated fund in her name, which will reliably sustain the hard, critical work of environmental advocacy. Funds will be dedicated towards:

  • Facilitating community member engagement in environmental advocacy through skills training, leadership development, and connections to decision-makers;
  • Training partners in how to conduct environmental advocacy and lobbying as non-profit organizations;
  • Direct lobbying and grassroots advocacy – the hardest programmatic work to raise financial support for; and
  • Leveraging these dedicated resources as matching gifts to attract advocacy and education grants.

Join us in celebrating Kim and her career. Please consider making a gift to the Kim Coble Environmental Advocacy Fund to honor Kim’s leadership while directly supporting continued advocacy efforts for clean water, healthy air, and climate-resilient communities for everyone in Maryland.
