In Their Words …
" Keeper of political scorecards on environmental votes, this small but feisty group actually endorses candidates who might be good for green causes. Its small staff proves that you don't need a huge budget to make a difference. Still, more money couldn't hurt. "

Attention All Baltimore County Residents!

budget_test1We are asking you to join a collective effort asking the Baltimore County Council to ‘Stick to the Master Plan'. Please stand united with your neighbors across the county who are facing intensive efforts for up-zoning of properties in Rural Conservation areas. We as community leaders have fought hard each year on plan after plan, in hearing after hearing, since the 60's to define and defend our communities and zoning in an effort to balance our suburban and rural land. Now they want to ignore all your of work and in some cases move the Urban Rural Demarcation Line (URDL) line.

Please ACT now to ask the Baltimore County Council to ‘Stick to the Master Plan'.

1. contact County Council members ( sample letter here )  [Don't know your district? Click here to find out!]

2. Fill out our online petition once you know your district

3. attend your district's council hearing and bring as many community residents as possible (hearing schedule down below)

4. testify against upzoning and defend the URDL on behalf of your organization at the next CZMP hearing in your district

Your support is critical to Baltimore County's continued legacy of leadership in rural conservation because we only have one chance at defeating the drive to dismantle it.

Please let Dannielle Lipinski know if you see any articles like this one written about the Bird River project, or if you want to become more involved in this project.  Her email address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
