The 1000 Friends of Maryland, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Environment Maryland, MD League of Conservation Voters, and MD Watershed Network invite you to a lively discussion on Maryland's growth policies and how they can be improved. We anticipate that during the 2009 General Assembly Session there will be significant growth legislation to improve Smart Growth policies, the local comprehensive planning process and the state planning process. Conservation and environmental groups from across the state are beginning to develop a legislative package and request your input.
We are interested in hearing from people with local and/or professional experience to discuss ideas and strategies on how to improve growth management in Maryland, conserve our natural resources, reduce air and water pollution and create better places to live and work.
