Karla Raettig, Executive Director, joined Maryland LCV in 2011. Karla has over 12 years of experience in the environmental community, most recently heading up the National Wildlife Federation's Louisiana Coastal Restoration program. Before joining NWF, Karla practiced environmental law at the Environmental Integrity Project, the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, and at the Seattle office of Earthjustice, Karla has an LL.M in environmental and natural resources law from Tulane University Law School and a J.D from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. Jen Brock-CancellieriJen Brock-Cancellieri, Deputy Director, joined staff in 2005 and manages legislative and electoral campaigns, coalition activities, and assists with organizational management. She has over 10 years of experience working for environmental advocacy non-profits. She graduated from Mary Washington College with a degree in Environmental Science and also is a graduate of Green Corps, the field school of environmental organizing. She serves on the board of directors of the Baltimore City League of Environmental Voters and is an active volunteer with the Baltimore Jewish Environmental Network. She lives in an Energy Star certified house in Baltimore with her husband and their cat. jbrock (at) mdlcv.org

Pete JohnsonPete Johnson, Outreach Manager, began in 2008 as an Organizer on our Federal Global Warming campaign and is currently responsible for organizing in Southern Maryland and Baltimore County, managing statewide field operations, and grassroots online advocacy. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Ventura College of Law and is a certified mediator by Pepperdine University-Strauss Institute for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Pete volunteers with the ALS Association (aka Lou Gehrig's disease) and he lives with his wife in Rockville with their two boys. danniwebDannielle Lipinski, Field Coordinator, began her position in February of 2010. She focuses mainly in Baltimore County, manages our internship and volunteer programs and picks up new skills along the way. She graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Legal Policy and Economics. Dannielle was heavily involved in UMBC environmental activities and policy and is anxious to contribute to the Maryland environmental community. She has lived in Maryland her whole life but managed to travel to Australia and cuddle koalas. dlipinski (at) mdlcv.org

alicia_2011Alicia Luckhardt, Administrative Assistant, started working with MDLCV in June of 2010. Alicia handles the day to day operations of our office. Her degree is in Criminal Justice with a focus in Human Services. She is married and has 3 wonderful children. eddie_chen_webEddie Chen, Eastern Shore Organizer,
started his position in March 2011 as the Eastern Shore Organizer. Graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degrees in Environmental Studies, Media and Communication Studies and a minor in Linguistics focusing on Spanish. During College, worked as a resident assistant, coordinated environmental volunteer events, and developed sustainability initiatives. Originally from Boston, Eddie grew up in Maryland, enjoys creating art in many forms, being outdoors, and loves dogs. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. tanviTanvi Gadhia, Clean Energy Organizer,
began with MDLCV in November 2011 as the Baltimore Clean Energy Organizer, building support for Offshore Wind in Maryland. She is working towards an M.S. in Environmental Science & Policy from Johns Hopkins University. Tanvi graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in Environmental Studies, where she was dedicated to cultivating sustainability and involvement on campus with Danni and Eddie, fellow MDLCV organizers. After devoting herself to international, national, and regional environmental issues as an activist, naturalist, and farmer, Tanvi is delighted to return home to Baltimore.
