2007: Senate Floor Votes

1. SB 379 Coastal Bays Dredging HOUSE BILL PASSED
Yes is the correct vote. Bill failed 20–26.
Bans the harmful practice of hydraulic dredging in the coastal bays.

2. SB 766 Phosphorus Ban BILL PASSED Yes is the correct vote. Bill passed 41–5. Bans the sale of dishwashing detergent containing phosphorus.

3. SB 595 Solar Energy BILL PASSED Yes is the correct vote. Bill passed 28–19. Adds solar energy to the Renewable Portfolio Standard.

4. SB 674 Energy Efficiency Standards (Pipkin Amendment) BILL PASSED No is the correct vote. Amendment failed 15–28. Sets minimum energy efficiency standards for seven products. This amendment would have significantly weakened the legislation.

5. SB 103 Clean Cars BILL PASSED Yes is the correct vote. Bill passed 38–9. Strengthens Maryland’s auto emissions standards.

6. SB 784 Stormwater Management BILL PASSED Yes is the correct vote. Bill passed 47–0. Decreases the amount of stormwater runoff by mandating environmental site design techniques.
