Now is the time for bold action to combat global warming, clean up the Chesapeake Bay, and plan for growth. The Maryland LCV's top priorities in the 2008 General Assembly Session are:   

• The Global Warming Solutions Act to curb global warming pollution
• A measure to reform the Critical Areas Law to protect the Chesapeake Bay
• An energy efficiency bill to protect the environment and save consumers money
• The Chesapeake Bay 2010 Trust Fund to allocate dedicated clean-up funds

In addition, Maryland LCV will advocate for measures to protect Program Open Space, promote solar energy, and stop the Intercounty Connector.
