1. SB 366 Mercury Switch Removal 7-4-BILL FAILED Would require the removal and recycling of mercury-containing switches from vehicles, eliminating another sizable source of mercury in Maryland.

4. HB 1131 Phosphorus Ban 8-3--BILL PASSED Bans the sale of dishwashing detergent containing phosphorus, making a major stride in meeting the Chesapeake Bay 2000 agreement goal of a 6 million pound reduction of phosphorus.
