In Their Words …
“Keeper of political scorecards on environmental votes, this small but feisty group actually endorses candidates who might be good for green causes. Its small staff proves that you don't need a huge budget to make a difference. Still, more money couldn't hurt”

A total of 110 out of 125 endorsed candidates have won their races.  All 3 statewide endorsed candidates won their races, this includes all three of our champions at the top of the ticket -- our "environmental trifecta" of Martin O'Malley for Governor, Doug Gansler for Attorney General, and Peter Franchot for Comptroller.

Check out which of our endorsed candidates won their races for the Maryland Senate and House of Delegates.

The Question 1 constitutional amendment on the ballot also gave conservation voters a reason to turn out on Election Day -- the amendment passed by an overwhelming support of 85%!

This election was all about turnout -- and conservation voters came to the polls this election in full force. Thank YOU for all that you did across the state -- thank you for helping us get-out-the-vote by knocking on doors and making phone calls, for spreading the word about Question 1, for emailing friends our "Stop Sprawl, Stop Ehrlich" postcard, and for supporting us financially so we could fund our work to make the environment count this election.

Protect Maryland Lands

Vote for Question 1 - Open Space! You can help protect Maryland's parks, farms, and open spaces!

Help us pass Question #1 on the November 7th ballot.

Question #1 would approve a constitutional amendment to prevent the state from selling public lands purchased for conservation -- such as state and city parks, conservation farmlands and open spaces -- without proper oversight by Maryland’s General Assembly.

Please tell all the Maryland voters you know to vote yes for Question #1 on November 7th!
